Malta’s Got Talent second semi final night brings about another great show with lots of surprises. This should be a difficult voting choice for the public voting since there are three Golden Buzzer acts competing during this second round of the semi finals. There are another 10 acts during this round, three of which will be voted to pass on to the finals. The voting process remains the same as in the first semi finals show.

Tonight’s Show

Once again host, Gorden Bonello, surprises  us with his unusual choice of attire for this evening’s show! Seriously Gordon, who is choosing your outfit and why? Besides that, let’s get on to tonight’s acts and see what they have to offer, hoping it’s better than Gordon’s attire.

Concept of Movement

Here we get to see this great dance group, judge Howard’s Golden Buzzer,  perform a nice routine. With great comments from all the judges and a perfectly timed routine, we hope the audience at home pass these to the finals.

Maximum Lock

For obvious reasons, this precision stunt car act couldn’t be performed on stage so the judges were taken to a different locality to view the act live. While we believe that this act was passed through to the semi finals for variety reasons, we do not believe that this act should not go any further. That decision will be taken by the public’s votes later on during the show.

Yan Camilleri

This young musical singer provides us with a rendition of ‘Music of the Night‘, from the famous musical the ‘Phantom of the Opera’. With a nicely dressed up stage, suitable for the act, our young performer goes on to provide us with his rendition of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary composition. We feel the song, that requires a manly and mature touch to it, may have been too ambitious for such a young voice. What do you think?

Michele Panarosa

This amazing singer amazes us once again with a great voice and overall performance of the song, ‘Like it Like That’. This is a voice we love love hearing and we hope that this singer makes it through to the finals. Once again it is in the hands of the voting public.

Ria Gauci

The young solo dancer once again embraces the stage as she energetically  takes it over with her ability to provide a powerful acrobatic dance. Then when you think you have seen all she can do, she goes on to surprise us with an Ariel Hoop act in between it all. This is another act well deserving a place in the finals.

Emma Cutajar

This young songwriter/musician/singer impressed us and the judges with her original song and performance during her auditions, earning her a Golden Buzzer pass from judge Maxine, in tonight’s semi finals. Once again she goes on to give us another original song and once again we are impressed.

Andrea Camilleri

Another young singer this time with dancers accompanying her along with  nice visuals to complete the performance. Andrea gives us her rendition of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Loyal Brave True’, that we simply love.

Mario Morales

The local TV personality goes on to sing ‘It’s a Wonderful World’ for us and the judges, accompanied by some dancers. Whilst we find him charming and of great nature we feel that his rendition of this iconic song was just not as strong as it should have been. Judge Howard may have felt this too as he goes ahead a presses that dreaded red X buzzer! However what shocks us most is the reply to Judge Maxine’s comments made after his performance about the wrong choice of act that accompanies his song. Mario’s reply “I didn’t choose the act, the act was chosen for me” and Maxine’s reaction “Maybe that was our fault then” gives away some secrets of the show. Morgan Mage

A young magician with a musical prediction and a surprise up his sleeve. This articulated youngster goes on to give a good performance guessing the judges’ musical choices and then surprises us further with his musical ability by playing the guitar to the correct chosen tune. Whilst his mentalism trick was good, we honestly think this kid has better opportunities with his musical talent and great guitar playing.

Joemike and Layden

The father and son act that stole the nation’s  hearts goes on to give us their Makkjetti act for this round of Malta’s Got Talent. Everything goes well until little Layden forgets the last verse, however he continues with the act and faces the situation like a great man. This is Judge Gordon’s Golden Buzzer act and another act we love and wish to see making it to the semi finals.

The Results

After watching all the 10 acts and with the public voting process over these are this evening’s results of the top 4 acts making their way through.

The two acts with the least votes, are Ria Gauchi and Emma Cutajar. This means that each judge gets to cast a vote for the act they prefer. With two judges voting in favour of Ria and the other two in favour of Emma the final decision now lies on the amount of public votes each received. Ria Gauchi manages to dance her way into Malta’s Got Talent finals.

Finally the time many have been waiting for is with us with the first semi finals of Malta’s Got Talent. This time the show is a live transmission from the MFCC. There was no live audience present but members of the public were able to attend virtually on screens behind the judges. The show’s host Gordon Bonello, opened the show with a satirical song, mainly directed at the judges’ and their reactions during the previous auditions. Gordon’s performance was enhanced with dancers. Whilst Gordon’s hosting was great throughout the show, we are not so sure about his choice of attire!

Understanding The Voting Process

Out of the ten acts we get to see tonight, only three can pass on to the finals. The public can vote for the acts they prefer the most via SMS and the top four acts with the most votes have a chance to be amongst the three chosen. Two acts with the most votes automatically make it through, whereas two acts are left for the judges to decide on. If there is a tie between the four judges, then the act with the most public votes via SMS gets on to pass on to the finals. We expect this to be an entertaining show.

Southville Dancers

This dance group are the first to show what they can perform on tonight’s semifinals. Their dance routine was great, a physical message against oppression and worthy of a semi final act. We do not know how this looked in real life on stage, however we can notice that the lights were not that great looking on television. With several silhouettes and back screen flashes it was difficult to see all the moves and techniques that the dancers brought in to their act.

Geneve Dimech

This young singer/musician gave us another great rock song. Geneve went on to show us her great talent through a strong voice and a wowing performance. The song she sang was dedicated to her nan who recently passed away.

Matthias Camilleri

This pole acrobatic act was themed on the war time. During the act, Matthias showed his skills time and time again with his ability to climb and use the pole in what appears to be a smooth and easy manner. HIs drops were impressive, but there was a drop that made us think that he did not stop on time. Watch the video and tell us what you think?

Sy and Ezaya

These two young Ballroom and Latin dancers show us what they do in a very good dance performance themed to bond, surprising us with a different style dancing to ‘Fireball’. With some nice choreography and a fairly good performance despite their young age, is it enough for them to make through to the finals? We just have to wait and see.

Chris Tanti

This fine guitarist played his guitar to the tune of ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ offering viewers at home a great relaxing rendition with his melodic version of the song.  The full time musician goes on to show us the best one can do with a such a talent and deserves his place in the semi finals. But will this be enough for this fine musician to make his way to the finals?

Christian Alakkad

The 5 year old genius who made his way to the semi finals through Ray Attard’s Golden Buzzer is back on stage to impress us with his memory skills. Christian goes on to impressively and correctly guess the countries and capitals of 67 consecutive flags shown on the screen in just mins. We do not know how entertaining this act is for a general performance but we are sure that this little boy has a great future with Quiz Show Competitions once he grows a little older.

Izzy

Izzy was not official an act that passed on to the semi finals. However Izzy’s act replaced ‘Yada on Heels‘ that was disqualified due to not being able to attend the semi finals because of Covid related reasons.  Izzy went on to give an energetic solo dance performance. We are wondering if judge Ray Attard was being sarcastic whit his comment “Huge Presence”.  What do you think?

Joseph Mangion

Back on stage for the semi finals the human fireworks sound machine, Joseph Mangion or as better known il-Kapxi. Dressed in shorts and a T-Shirt with Kapxi Fireworks written all over it he goes on to give us us viewers more of his ‘Xpuff, XPaff and Tik Tik Tik Tik’ sounds. He is accompanied by a traditional live Band and his act his enhanced with some visuals of Malta fireworks on the screen behind him. Apart from that il-Kapxi reveals a little more of what we expect to see on national television in such a show!

Bruce Bruce Micallef Eynaurd

This comedy act made it through the auditions with a great unique performance. However during the semi finals we feel like Bruce’s performance was less almighty and a little bit off topic at the moment. This was also noted by the judges who did not fail to mention it in their comments. While we get Bruce’s sense of humor and personally found some it quite funny at times, we do not see people in general perceiving it as an act worthy of the finals. We will know soon enough.

Ike and Kaya

The young and talented sweethearts Singer and Rapper are up on stage giving a great enjoyable performance. Tell us, how can not not love this adorable duo? This cool and sweet act may well make it to the finals.

The Results

After watching all the 10 acts and with the public voting process over these are the results of the top 4 acts making their way through.

The two acts with the least votes, surprisingly, are Southville Dance and Matthias Camilleri. These means that the Judges get to cast a vote each for the act they like the most. With 3 of the Judges votes going in favor of Matthias, the pole acrobatic makes it to the finals of Malta’s Got Talent.

Therefore the 3 finalist of this evening’s show are
Joseph Mangion – The Human Fireworks Sound Machine
Ike and Kaya – The Sweet Singer and the Cool Rapper
Matthias – The Acrobatic Pole Dancer

It was surprisingly shocking to see some of the more deserving acts to be outed by the Human Fireworks Sound Machine but the votes are in the public’s hands this time. We await further surprises next week when three of the semi finalist acts are Golden Buzzer receivers!

We have to admit that Malta’s Got Talent deliberation night tonight was full of surprises. Some choices were great, yet some disappointing to say the least. In all there were over 100 acts, 72 which we actually get to see on this and the previous programs. Thanks to the Golden Buzzer pass, 5 of these go straight to the Malta Got Talent semi finals, leaving 67 at the table for deliberation.

Before that,  we get to see 5 more acts perform on stage. Four of these, get the judges’ approval before moving on to deliberation on who’s getting through to the live shows.

Let’s start with the last of the passing acts we get to see tonight before listing all the acts making it through to the live shows.

The Last Of The Acts We Get To See Tonight

A Solo Dancer

Tonight’s show opens with Francisco Antonio who’s from Venezuela but is living in Malta. Francesco, who is 27, dances his heart away to a variety of Latin and commercial songs earning him 4 Yesses. Watch his performance below.

The Young Rock Star

10 year old Geneve Dimech is up next with her own original song . On stage with an electric guitar, Geneve goes on to give us a great rock song, written and composed by herself. Her great strong voice, together with a fine tune and great lyrics earn her a standing ovation from all the judges and 4 Yesses.

Hip Hop and Break Dance

Street Elements are a dance team. The youngest member, Kayne, is just 3 years old! They go on to show the judges their dance routine combining hip hop and break dance. Their act earns them 4 Yesses giving them a chance to make it to the live shows.

The Violinist

22 Year old Maria Cini is up next with her violin. She goes on to show her talents with a great rendition on her violin. She gets 4 Yesses from the judges.

The Golden Buzzer Acts

During the past 6 episodes we saw all the Judges and the host Gordon give their Golden Buzzer to various acts. These acts go straight through to the semi finals. Here’s a quick reminder of these acts in the video below.

Malta’s Got Talent Deliberation

The judges must have a hard time deciding who is going through to the live shows and who is not with a vast choice in front of them. Out of 67 remaining acts with a YES pass, the judges actually need to pass just 25 acts into the live shows. In total there will be 30 acts in the semi final, 5 of which are already through with their Golden Buzzer pass.

In Malta’s Got Talent deliberation the judges discus all the kids’ acts, the dance acts and the variety acts before making a final decision. As one expects, the decisions are not easy and the judges have a tough call to make. However we are surprised with some of the acts the judges actually do choose. Here are all the acts making it through to the live shows during their video calls with the judges to pass on the good news.

A Final Note

So that was tonight’s show and the next episode will be the 1st ever Malta’s Got Talent Semi Finals. We may not agree with all the acts making it through to the live shows that the judges end up choosing. I guess many others will not agree as well as there may have been more deserving and talented acts. But hey, this is television and we guess the show needs some variety during the live shows.

We now look forward to seeing what all the acts are going to bring to the Malta’s Got Talent Semi Finals.

Judge Maxine, is the last to give her Golden Buzzer pass to a deserving act and we see her do this in Episode 6 of Malta’s Got Talent. Her Golden Buzzer goes to a young songwriter and singer Emma Cutajar who shows a lot of talent.

Emma who is just 14 years old, wins her golden pass with a brilliantly composed song. Her poetic lyrics are about her sister, who sadly passed away before Emma was ever born. The heartbreaking lyrics and her performance comes across very sincere, winning over the judges’ and viewers’ hearts.

In this evening’s episode of Malta’s Got Talent here at Entertainment Malta we get to see another selection of acts. Those making their way through to the next stages of the competition range between a Pizzaiolo  and a talkative singer. The highlight of this evening’s show comes towards the end when Judge Maxine awards her and the last Golden Buzzer to a talented young singer, song writer and pianist.

As always, our rundown of the show tonight includes only those acts that get the Yesses required by the judges. However, one thing we note is that tonight is the only night that we get to see 3 acts not making it through to the next stages. During all previous episodes there were 2 acts not making it through, so tonight was a little different.

Tonight’s Passing Acts

The Dance Group

So tonight’s shows starts off with Dance Lab a dance group consisting of mixed dancers aged between 12 and 28 years old.  Dance lab go on to give us a modern dance full of energy and sharp movements. Their various elements of dance earn them 4 big yesses from our Judges.

The Traditional Magic Act

Next to perform in tonight’s show is 25 year old Christian Brincat. Christian together with some dancers in feathered costumes, bring some traditional styled magic to the show. His ‘Old School Trick’, as Judge Howard describes it, and performance earns him the 4 Yesses he requires.

The Young Dancer

Ria Gauci is a 9 year old dancer, who’s been training dance for 2 years. She brings on stage a brilliant dance routine, demonstrating the discipline and dedication during her training. In fact, Ria reminds us of the excellent dancer featured in Sia’s music video ‘Chandelier‘. Lea goes on to rightly earn her 4 Yesses pushing her into the next stages.

Another Pole Dance Act

On stage is Naomi Borg Leyland who is 23 years old and brings to the show an expertly carried out pole dance act. Naomi trains 4-5 times a week and also owns her own pole dance academy. Her act, as one expects, is as Judge Sarah says, ‘Sexy in the classiest of ways’ with the judges giving her the 4 Yesses she requires to get through the next stage.

The Juggling Pizzaiolo.

23 Year old Giuseppe Foggia is up next with a rather unusual act. Originally from Italy but now living and working in Malta as a pizzaiolo, Giuseppe entertains the judges and viewers at home with his fun and fast pizza spinning/juggling act. He is rightly awarded 4 Yesses from our judges.

The Talking Pensioner

Next to grace Malta’s Got Talent’s stage is 75 year old pensioner, Freddie. Freddie is a singer and goes on to tell the judges how he lost his wife about a year ago. As his conversation lingers, Freddie’s life story is told from how he worked all his life to support his family and build a home for them. He goes on to recall how his passion for singing was set in the back of his mind during all those years until he reached retirement. It was then that Freddie felt like there was a part missing. His vivid conversation and story goes on until it is interrupted by some adverts…

The Sentimental Songwriter, Singer and Pianist

14year old Emma Cutajar is on stage together with her piano. She recalls how her sister died before Emma was born and with that in mind wrote a song dedicating it to her sister. As she plays the piano and sings, her passion and sentiment is expressed very well, touching the hearts of both judges and us viewers. Her beautifully lyrical song and performance earns Emma the fifth and last Golden Buzzer push allowed, rightly awarded to her by judge Maxine. We look forward to seeing Emma in the semi finals and are wondering what she will be performing next. In the meantime, watch and enjoy her whole performance on tonight’s show.

…Freddie’s Back!

Freddie is back on our screens, still talking to the judges. The conversation finally leads him to his charismatic performance, an Elvis song. Apparently this is not judge Howard’s kind of song, however Freddie still earns a Yes from all the judges putting him through the next stages. We cannot help but love Freddie as we see him try to continue the conversation even after voting is over and all the way until host Gordon helps him off stage. You have to watch Freddie!

Conclusion

And that ends Entertainment Malta’s rundown of tonight’s episode of Malta’s Got Talent. As always the show did offer some good entertainment and things that were not expected, like the Pizziolo.  Our excitement is growing as each episode passes, looking forward to seeing those making it through to the live shows. Maxine’s Golden Buzzer to Emma was the highlight of tonight’s show but Freddie left an everlasting impression too.

Malta’s Got Talent once again brings pure entertainment to our television screen during this week’s episode. This week we get to see a fantastic ballerina, an accent act and another pole among other amazing acts!  Out of the 11 acts presented, two did not make it past the judges’ votes so they have no chance of making it through the next stage. However the following are those that get the judges’ approval and are still in the running with the possibility of passing on to the next stage.

Here is our run down for tonight’s show.

Tonight’s Acts

A Beautiful Voice

First to appear on the program is Michele Panarosa, who is Italian but has been living in Malta for the past two years. Michele go on to sing a 80s Aha classic, ‘Take On Me‘ in a rendition that is a lot more than just pleasing to the ears. Michele goes on to impress the judges’ with his beautiful voice earning him 4 Yesses. If you haven’t seen it or if you want to hear this again then check out the video below.

Rap Anyone?

Next on is Chanelle Fenech, who is only 14 years old. Despite her age, Chanelle gives us a great performance with her Rap act. Chanelle shows confidence and earns the 4 Yesses from the judges.

The Amazing Circus Performer

On stage is a 6 meter Chinese Pole, next to it stands Matthias Camilleri. Matthias is an ex circus student, who studied at circus school in London for the past 3 years. He is now graduated and his next step is to become a circus performer. Matthias tells us that this is the first time he will be performing out of school as for the past 3 years. Judges award Matthias with 4 Yesses for his impressive act. Watch the video and prepare yourself for some wowing moments.

The Young Singers

Blush is up next with 13 and 14 year olds Leah, Tenya, Rihanna, Zaira as part of their group. They go on to sing a beautiful song from the musical ‘Frozen 2’ giving a great performance. Once again the judges go on to approve this act with 4 Yesses.

The Comedy Sketch Artist

27 year old Bruce is up on stage next with an act that he describes as ‘acting’. Once Bruce starts his act, his acting becomes a journey around the world in the most amusing way manner. 4 Yesses for this funny and talented act.

The Younger Singer

Half Scottish and half Japanese 10 year old Zia Fuji is next to go on Malta’s Got Talent. Zia now lives in Gozo, Malta’s sister island. However despite being just 10 years old, Zia has lived in other places; India, Japan, Scotland and Bali to be exact. All the cuteness this act brings goes on to steal the judges’ hearts and minds earning Zia 4 Yesses from them.

The Dancer

Next to give a performance is 30 year old Warren Bonello. Warren who is a dancer, teacher and choreographer shows us his talent, dancing his way to the next stage. His song selection and dance portrays an important and personal message that one of the judges picks up on. The emotional performance earns Warren 4 Yesses from the judges. The video is a must watch till the end for the whole story.

The Spanish Dancer

Up on stage is 12 year old Claudia Santamaria, originally from Spain but now living in Malta. Claudia loves acting and singing but comes to Malta’s Got Talent with her amazing dance technique. The young and articulate dancer has big aspirations, with the ambition to become a professional ballerina in the future. Claudia brings the judges a fantastic ballet performance with an energetic personality who in turn award her 4 big Yesses for her act.

Rap And A Beatbox

Il-Lapes a rapper, Mac the music producer and Funky the beatbox are the last act for this evening’s show. The energetic trio, with ants in their pants, bring to the contest a fantastic and original poetic Rap rendition in the Maltese language. Their song includes a vast array of artistry with poetic rhyming lyrics and precise rapping skills.  Their  performance wins them the 4 Yesses they need to go on to the next stage and a great way to end tonight’s show.

Conclusion

There goes another episode from Malta’s Got Talent 2020 and tonight’s show once again offered viewers a variety of amazing and entertaining acts. However, what we did not see tonight was a Golden Buzzer moment. To be honest, that did surprise us a little as we were expecting it after having three consecutives ones, one for each past program. But with only 2 more Golden Buzzer moments available and more amazing acts expected, it must be difficult for the judges to decide who gets that push! With acts like those participating, it does make the judges’ job a tough one. As usual we are only mentioning the acts that get the approval of the judges, not because the other acts do not deserve to be mentioned but because we want to focus on those that are in the running to go on to the next stage.

We are looking forward to seeing what could be more amazing acts in the next episode of Malta’s Got Talent. Therefore, tune in again next week as we sum them up here on Entertainment Malta.

As expected, this evening’s show of Malta’s Got Talent included various acts, some unexpected like the car stunt act to the obvious ones like the singers. It was another exciting evening of pure entertainment with some acts portraying it more than others. As usual, we are dismissing acts that do not make it through the audition stages and we are focusing on the ones that proceed. During the program, we get to see these acts displaying their skills and talents just as we did in the previous episodes.  We also get to see another Golden Buzzer moment, this time set off by Judge Sarah Zerafa. Read on to see why Sarah pushed that Golden Button!

Tonight’s Acts

An Amazing Stunt Car Act

Tonight’s show starts off with ‘Team Maximum Lock‘, a precision drive and stunt team that specialise in drift racing. Check out these amazing car stunts provided by these 3 skillful men. Without doubt, this act goes on with 4 Yesses from our judges.

The Young Dancer

Next to pass through with 4 Yesses from the judges is 15 year old Sofia Anic from Serbia. Now living in Malta, Sophia and her dance troupe previously appeared in Serbia’s Got Talent and reaching 2nd place. Being alone in Malta, she now goes on to provide an energetic solo dance act for her audition gaining approval from the judges.

Adorable Singing Duo

10 year olds, Kaya and Ike who tell us they are Girlfriend and Boyfriend are up next. Kaya sings and Ike raps but how are they to do this tonight? Watch as this cute couple steals the judges’ hearts earning them 4 Big Yesses.

An Unpredictable Magician

Up next is 24 year old magician, Gwilym Bugeja. During the daytime, Gwilym works for an IT company and in the evenings he does magic.  He goes on to impress the judges with an amusing trick with a surprising finale getting 4 Yesses for his act.

The Singing Boy

12 Year old singer, Jan Camilleri comes to Malta’s Got Talent with an iconic song from the famous musical, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’. The song Jan brings with him is no other than ‘If I were a Richman’. The judges have no problem giving Jan 4 Yesses for his voice and great interpretation of the famous song.

A Classy Pole Dancer

Half Maltese and Half American 30 year old  Marissa Bose is up next. She is to grace the stage with her classy and elegant pole dance act. Her skillful and energetic performance earn Marissa a huge hug from her 9 year old daughter, Nina, a girl with the inspiration to become a contortionist. Nina runs out on stage to hug her mum when our Judges award Marissa with 4 huge Yesses for her performance.

The Amazing Soprano

The final act for this evening is Nicole Hammett who Judge Howard remembers from the first edition of X Factor Malta, a show which he also judged.  Nicole did not manage to make it through in X Factor but that did not make her give up on her dream and it is a good job it didn’t. Nicole goes on to amaze the judges and audience alike with her Soprano singing but offers an amazing surprise during her performance that earns her the Golden Buzzer, pushed by Judge Sarah Zerafa, giving her a pass straight on to the live shows.  Watch the whole performance hereunder.

Conclusion

With that we conclude this weeks post on Malta’s Got Talent. This week’s Golden Buzzer was yet another great one and we thank Sarah Zerafa for offering that moment to Nicole. As for Nicole, we look forward to what she will bring us during the forthcoming live shows. As usual we are dismissing acts that do not make it through the audition stages and we are focusing on the ones that get Yesses offering them the possibility to go on to the live shows.. The second episode of Malta’s Got Talent is now over but it was a highly entertaining show. In this episode we get to see a range of local acts, from Balancing Acts to a human fireworks beatbox machine. So we get to see each doing their best to attract the judges’ yes vote with the hope to make it in to the live shows.  Another entertaining night with a vast variation of talents on local television in Malta.

Here is what we saw during this evening’s show, with judge Howard giving his Golden Buzzer moment to a brilliant act.

Tonight’s Acts

The Pensioner Balancer

First up is 67 year old  Alfred Mifsud.  Alfred is a retired ex headmaster, who entertains people with his balancing skills. Here we see him balancing a range of items from a newspaper to a chair. Judge Howard is a little bit irritated by a certain aspect of the act. Take a look at the video below to see what it is that got Haward to comment!

The Young Magician

Up next is young magician Morgan who is just 14 years old.  Morgan goes on to show the judges some magic with cards ending with an appeal to people to stop the spread of the Corona Virus. He easily gains 4 yesses and we look forward to seeing more from him if he gets through to the next round.

The Young Singer

Yulan Law  is up next and she stuns the judges with her fantastic voice. Her delivery of the Demi Lovato’s ‘Anyone’ is defiantly not something the Judges expect from a 10 year old singer. By no doubt she deserves the 4 Yesses they give her.

The Young Footballer

Juventus supporter, Caden Tanti is next up. Showing a little bit of beginner’s nerves he builds up courage and impresses the judges with his football skills. Caden ends up winning the judges’ hearts and gets 4 yesses from the judges.

The Hip Hop Dance Troupe

Now on stage are the Waterfall Dancers who show the judges their Hip Hop dancing moves. This is the first time during the two shows that we get to see the judges struggle with their decisions and votes.  With 3 Yesses and a vote, they manage to pass on to the next stage.

The Saxaphonist

Luca Gurrieri a saxophonist from Italy, and brought on to Malta’s Got Talent by his girlfriend, is up next. It’s good to se the judges move a little to the sound of his instrument. 4 Yesses for Luca and his saxophone and a promise of a kiss by Luca to his girlfriend for applying for him.

The Hula Hoop Act

Next to enter stage is Claire Brincat and her hula hoops. Claire, is not new to entertaining having entertained people in the UK with her talent. Here she gets to WOW the judges with her bubbly, energetic Hula-Hoop act.  Claire rightly receives 4 Yesses from our judges but so far we have not seen that Golden Buzzer push!.

The Dance Act

Up next are The Movement a Maltese dance group comprising of persons of different ranging from 11 to 24 years old. They come with a concept of ups and downs in life which they want to portray though their dance routine. This perfectly synchronized act gets this episode’s push of the Golden Buzzer by Howard Keith Debono. Enjoy the act!

The Human Fireworks Beatbox Machine

Is the last act on for the evening the strangest thing we will ever get to watch on Malta’s Got Talent? Ex policeman, Joseph Mangion, puts on a beat box style version of typical Maltese fireworks display. He can produce sounds identical to the real thing with timing, number of fireworks and the lot. To understand it, you would have had to been to a real life Maltese fireworks display. It is comical to watch if you do not know what Joseph is doing. But even if you know what is happening, this 63 year old will manage to put a smile on your face as he did with the judges. Gaining their and the viewers’ sympathy, he earns 4 Big Yesses for his unusual act.

Conclusion

With that we conclude the second blog post on Malta’s Got Talent. Joseph’s act was a great act to finish this episode with, it brought a smile on our face and I’m sure viewers felt the same. Once gain well do to the producers who are making television which is entertaining and fun. Again we see the judges coming out with positive criticism even over the acts they dismiss. We are not mentioning the acts that do not go through in this stage,  because we are sure that we may see them come back some other time with a better act making it through to Malta’s Got Talent.
